Wine for the Holidays

The holidays are a busy time and it seems like there is a social gathering every night.  If you are tired of baking and want to grab a great bottle of wine or need to pair wine with a delicious dinner, Little Raven Vineyards is there to help.  Peter Klann, owner of Little Raven Vineyards, is a wine expert and always happy to help.  He is a great resource and you will not be disappointed with his selection.  It’s wonderful to have such a delightful wine shop right in the neighborhood.

B-Cycle Ending for the Season

This Friday, December 9th, the B-Cycle Bike Sharing Program will go into hibernation for the winter.  In its second season, B-Cycle has had continued success with almost 200,000 rides.  Denver B-Cycle now has 50 stations and more to come next year. I believe the Riverfront B-Cycle Station has been a great addition to the neighborhood with all great parks and trails just steps from The Plaza.  Starting at 5:00pm on 12/9 riders and officials will join together to ride the bikes back to B-Cycle headquarters at 2737 Larimer Street where they will be stored for the winter.   Then join in a fun happy hour at the Meadowlark Bark for a drink.  The first 85 riders will receive a free RTD ticket to get home and everyone that returns a bike will get a free beer.  Click here for more details.

9News Parade of Lights

The 36th Annual 9News Parade of Lights is tonight starting at 8:00pm and tomorrow night at 6:00pm. Come out to see some spectacular high school marching bands, floats and giant balloons. This year, a huge 42-foot long tiger balloon will join the parade.  Admission is free along the two mile path or you can buy Grand Stand tickets. Adults are $18.00 and children are $16.00.

Come down and enjoy the beautiful decorations, great restaurants and exciting parade in our wonderful city. Start your night at the Denver City and County Building on 14th and Bannock and cap off the night with a horse drawn carriage ride. It is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays.
