Union Station Update

It has been a while since I’ve done a Union Station update.  Things are continuing to move at a fast pace.  The first half of the bus box is getting electrical and mechanical rough-ins, fire protection and lighting.  The ventilation system has started running and it can move up to 150,000 cubic feet of air per minute.  The bus and pedestrian concourses are taking shape as well.  On the second half of the bus box, the crews have almost finished pouring the concrete for the roof.  After the roof is in place, the waterproofing will be attached and mechanical and electrical work can start.  The other exciting change is the start of the fabrication of the steel train hall canopy.  The trusses will be erected starting at the end of this month.

al Lado

If you haven’t been to Riverfront Park’s newest hot spot than you are missing out.  al Lado, located on the Riverfront Park Plaza next to Zengo, is a great new restaurant.  They have an incredible menu of small plates and an extensive wine menu.  Every Sunday they offer 50% off all bottles of wine.  The Spanish tapas are delicious and the atmosphere couldn’t be better.  Check it out.

A-Basin Opens for the Season!

After the worst ski season in recent memory, the ski resorts are eager to kick this season off.  This year A-Basin wins the race to open first.  The lifts started taking skiiers and snowboarders up the mountain at 9:00 this morinng.  They have been working hard for the past 10 days to get one run ready for the riders.  The freezing temperatures have helped snow makers use a combinination of high pressure water and air to get the snow started.  Every resort spend hundreds of thousands of dollars this summer purchasing new snow making equipment and grooming the hills.  Steamboat will open in mid November followed by Vail on 11/16 and  Telluride on 11/22.  Let’s hope El Nino shows up this winter!

Glass House #304 Just Staged

Glass House #304 was just staged and looks fantastic!  This home also got a fresh coat of paint and is ready to sell.  This is the lowest price two bedroom in the building.  A great floor plan, maple hardwood floors and an incredible location of Riverfront Park make this condo one of the best.  Average price per square foot in the building is around $400, this one is listed at $308!  What a steal!  Call me to see it today at 303.618.3622.
