RTD broke ground Thursday on the FasTracks East rail line. This project also known as The Eagle P3 Project will cost about $1 billion and connect downtown to Denver International Airport. Of all the rail lines projected, this is the one that I’m the most excited about. The convenience of flying into DIA and being able to get on a train that takes you to the heart of the city and Riverfront Park is pretty cool. The FasTracks project will place more than 100 miles of new rail line throughout Denver and cost approximately $6.7 billion. Utility relocations and minor construction will continue over the next several months. The main work will begin next year and the scheduled opening is set for early 2016.
