Richard Sandoval, the chef and owner of ZENGO, is a semifinalist for a James Beard Award. Established in 1990, this foundation recognizes culinary professionals across the nation. The James Beard Awards have been deemed “the Oscars of the food world.” These awards celebrate outstanding achievement in a wide variety of categories including, best chefs, best new restaurant, outstanding service and many more. Richard Sandoval is a semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur with his incredible restaurants across the country. ZENGO, Tamayo and La Sandia are his three restaurants in the Denver area. There were over 28,000 applications filed out and on March 21st each category will be narrowed down to five finalists. The Gala Reception will take place on May 9th in New York. Good luck Richard!
